Cane Jaggery

Gur

Jaggery made by boiling fresh sugarcane juice in open pans until it sets. Nothing is refined out, so it keeps the cane's minerals and its deep caramel flavour. Available as blocks, cubes, powder and certified organic.

Sourced from Kolhapur, Maharashtra and Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh

Where it comes from

Kolhapur and Muzaffarnagar are India's two best-known jaggery belts. Cane is crushed the day it is cut, and the juice is boiled and skimmed in wide iron pans before being poured into moulds or worked into powder.

We supply chemical-free jaggery, clarified with plant-based agents rather than sulphur or hydros, which gives a darker, more natural colour. Lots are packed with moisture control because jaggery absorbs water quickly in transit.

Questions buyers ask

Does jaggery melt or harden during sea freight?

Moisture is the risk, not heat. We pack with inner liners and moisture absorbers, and recommend powder or cubes for long transits to warm ports.

Can you meet US FDA and EU food import rules?

We prepare the documents each market asks for, including prior notice details for the US and lab reports against EU limits. Share your import requirements with your enquiry.
